Throwback Thursday: Rediscovered Products (Week 1 of My Makeup No Buy Challenge)

The first week of my 30 Day Makeup No Buy Challenge was definitely a successful one!

Here are pictures of the products I’ve rediscovered this week and my opinions on them:

-MAC Stereo Rose Mineralized Skinfinish: This stuff is so gorgeous! I used it as a blush and it gives my cheeks a beautiful coral color with a dewy sheen. I will definitely be reaching for this in the coming months!
-MAC Woodwinked and Outré Eyeshadows: Woodwinked is a metallic, non-brassy gold and Outré is a matte camel color. I have neglected my MAC shadows recently but want to start using them more regularly since I have a lot of great colors.
-MAC Rubenesque Paint Pot: I’ve had this paint pot for so long and surprisingly it hasn’t dried out on me yet. The color is great under warm toned shadows and this product usually doesn’t crease on me.
-L’oreal Glossy Balm in Innocent Coral: This product was one I purchased this summer and used for the first time this month. The color is very pretty, but the staying power is not the greatest. I expected that much since the formula is very glossy.

-Revlon Lipstick in Coral Berry: I got this lipstick during my senior year of high school and was obsessed with it for a while. It’s a dupe for MAC Ravishing. The formula is great and the pigmentation is awesome.
-NYX Lip Liner in Pumpkin: This was the first time I used this. It has shimmer, which I’m not the biggest fan of, but the color is pretty and goes well with the Revlon lipstick.
-Milani Fierce Foil Eyeshine Quad in Florence: I used the darkest color in this quad on my lid. I used a glitter glue beforehand to lessen the creasing (these eyeshadows are very glossy) and it worked pretty well. These eyeshadows are so shiny, so if you’re looking for gloss and not something that is long wearing, I’d recommend these.
-Too Faced Eyeshadow Duo in Honey Pot/Cocoa Puff: I used the Cocoa Puff side on my lid underneath the darkest color in the Milani quad. The pigmentation is awesome in this duo. The brown has tiny gold flecks in it, but is pretty matte otherwise.
-L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Golden Emerald: This color is freaking gorgeous! I put in on my lower lash lines and it really took my makeup to the next level. It was my first time using it, and I’m already a fan.

-Bourjois Shine Edition Lipstick in Soleil: I used this for the first time this week. I purchased this when I studied abroad in London. The finish is super glossy and the formula is similar to that of a Revlon Lip Butter.

-MAC Eyeshadow in Mulled Cider: This shadow is perfect for a darker crease color. I used to use it a lot. It was limited edition, but can be found at some CCOs.

-Hard Candy Baked Eyeshadow in Rush Hour: I used the rose gold side of this shadow. This was probably the first rose gold eyeshadow I ever purchased, and it has been well loved.

-Stila Smudge Stick in Deep Burgundy: I used this for the first time. It is a wonderful alternative for a black or brown eyeliner, and the staying power is excellent.

-NYX Prismatic Eyeshadow in Mermaid: This eyeshadow is BEAUTIFUL. I put a mint eyeliner in my inner corners and put this over it to amp up the shine and color. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a minty eyeshadow.

So far, this challenge has been easier than I thought. Hopefully I can maintain the rules I made for myself for the next 3 weeks!
