Recently I have been buying so much makeup. It’s getting to the point where the people in the mailroom at my school greet me by saying I have “so many packages!” Plus, I’m graduating from college this year and will be buying a car this summer so I need to stop spending and start saving.
So, I’ve decided that I will be doing a 30 Day Makeup No-Buy. Starting tomorrow (April 22, 2015) and ending in 30 days (on May 22, 2015), I will not be purchasing any new makeup products. I have come up with some rules to follow regarding this challenge:
1. I can only repurchase an item if I’ve run out and have no backups or substitutes (for example, if I run out of mascara). This also applies to body care products like body wash, shampoo, etc.
2. Gift card purchases are okay because the money gifted to me has been spent already and is not my own (obviously).
3. By the end of the 30 days, I need to have used 30 products that I haven’t used in the last 30 days or that I haven’t used at all. Also, I will have to document them. I will most likely do this in weekly blog posts in which I’ll round up the products used and talk a bit about them.
This will be difficult for me, but I am ready for the challenge. Keep your eyes peeled for posts about this new project!
